Traditionally, economists have held that any production process requires four Factors of Production — Land, Labour, Capital and Enterprise — to come, together in a cooperative manner to produce the output. Of all the factors of production, it is the human resource factor input that we at TOTAL specialize in providing and managing. Unlike capital, which is inanimate, human resources consist of living beings — humans!
Therefore, management of this particular factor of production requires special treatment — a process broadly classified as Human Resource Management. At, TOTAL, we believe Human Resource Management is not complete unless it is TOTAL! Therefore, we like to refer to this a TOTAL Human Resource Management — our forte!
